Registration open from 1 December 2022 to 26 February 2023
From 21 to 23 March 2023, the Environmental research station Schneefernerhaus will host the 6th VAO Symposium 2023. The symposium will be held at the Berghotel Hammersbach in Grainau/Bavaria/Germany at the foot of the mountain Zugspitze.
The focus of the symposium is on latest findings in the area of alpine environmental research (observation, understanding, modelling) in the context of (but not limited to) high altitude research stations. The symposium is also intended to supporting and promoting networking activities and new project initiatives.

- Venue: Berghotel Hammersbach | Kreuzeckweg 2–6 | 82491 Grainau | Germany
- Accommodation: it ist possible to book rooms as part of the online registration for the symposium directly at the Berghotel Hammersbach, where we reserved 80 rooms for you. You can easily find other accommodations in the area, for example the Hotel Nuss and others.
- Conference Fee: The conference fee of 81,-€ per day includes daily catering (coffee breaks and lunch).
- Side events: At the end of the second day of the symposium, a conference dinner will be organized, which can be booked separately. It is possible to book a guided tour through the environmental research station Schneefernerhaus on the summit of the Zugspitze for the last day of the conference.

Authors who wish to give an oral presentation or present a poster are requested to submit an abstract (approx. ½ page + 1 figure).
Please submit your abstract until 26th February, 2023to vaosymposium@schneefernerhaus.de . Later submissions might not be considered!
